The mobile container studio
Our arrival in Kenya marked my tenth country of residence. With every new move, I had to start from scratch: find a room, sort out the sound system, set up a proper electrical installation.
It was the weariness of this repetition that gave me the idea of buying a shipping container and turning it into a small recording studio. Instead of simply sending our belongings from one continent to another, we now ship them in our own container - all I have to do is plug it in when it arrives.
A nomadic creation tool
Thanks to this container, I have a semi-professional recording infrastructure with which I can produce my own music and local artists who don't have access to the necessary equipment.
The container can also be loaded onto a truck and become a mobile recording station - a travelling studio to go record musicians in the most remote corners.
